THE ART ALIVE
Growing up in Washington DC made Alexa Meade wanted to have a career linked to politics. After working in the Barack Obama campaign in 2008 and graduated in Political Science, Alexa (@alexameadeart) realized that what she really wanted was to be an artist. Initially she had a simple idea: put black paint over natural shadows. But this idea has evolved into something much bigger. Today, Alexa travels the world with their art installations and commissioned portraits. She has exhibited her art at the Grand Palais in Paris, painted a MINI Cooper in the streets of Tokyo, worked for Ralph Lauren, and more. The artist paints directly on live models to create the illusion that the real life people are inside the world of a 2D painting.
