THE ALOHA SPIRIT IN OLD MONTREAL

In Old Montreal, Canada, there is a bar in which several Hawaiian specialities are united and in which the shapes explore Hawaii’s history. In Aloha Espresso Bar, wood and the tropical spirit are very much present. The interiors design, by Jean de Lessard – Designer Créatifs, has a graphic approach that enhance the products.
It has a “hodgepodge” look. That look includes cactus green colour, that leads us to nature, and the hibiscus pattern of the typical Hawaiian shirts.
Jean de Lessard explains that the studio noticed that people seems to be “looking for all things natural”. Moreover, the designers tried to give just that to the owners – passionate for the Hawaiian culture –, that is, a “place that would illustrate the respectful spirit of aloha”. Therefore, the use of wood, for a cosier ambiance.
