WHEN NATURE CALLS
There are many projects devoted to nature. Conceptually, the back to basics approach attracts more and more people, fed up of the rush of city life, of the endless flow of time, hours passing by until you lose count. Even so, there are few that manage to combine the true essence of what nature produces. By this we mean textures, colours, the ambience, the aromas and sensations it brings.
It was on a fertile land that Marta and Gonçalo built a place that “breathes nature to the bottom of its lungs”, the Areias do Seixo hotel. Peace and comfort are some of the ingredients that make up the recipe aimed at bringing together, around the same table, people from all around the globe. Along the path towards these goals, the owners were joined by architect Vasco Vieira, decorator Rosário Gabriel, also responsible for various aspects of the interior design, and decorator Isabel Schedel, who become involved a few months prior to the opening of the hotel.
About an hour away from Lisbon, Areias do Seixo stands between pine groves and dunes in A-dos-Cunhados, near to Torres Vedras. Without ever losing sight of the sea, the hotel invites its guests to deeply experience every moment they spend in the different parts of this retreat. Staying means letting your guard down, surrendering to the comfort of the carefully designed spaces, for a peaceful experience in perfect communion with the land.
