The coalition of traditional Portuguese products with the excellence of national design, Boa Boca was founded in 2004, in Évora, by agricultural engineer Inês Varejão and designer António Policarpo. In 2006, they launched Food+Design concept, the recreation of homemade Portuguese flavours through unexpected combinations, sold in contemporary packaging, winner of several awards, highlights of which include two Red Dot Design Awards and the Sena da Silva Prize, awarded by Portuguese Design Centre. The traditional Portuguese biscuits, chocolates, herb teas, jams, olive oil, wines and liqueurs seem to take on a special flavour, provided by the looks of their packaging.
