Carla Goméz Puerta

Interiors | 28 Apr 2016

Spain, Madrid, Salamanca district: it was here that decorator Carla Gomez Puerta discovered an ancient workshop whose characteristics – lots of light, great ceiling height, an environment of clarity – revealed a potential to change into a cozy, modern, dynamic space, with heaps of style. So Carla has designed a project that takes advantage of all the attributes of the place – the designer transformed the old workshop in a loft of contemporary design, in which all areas are linked visually and open onto an inner courtyard that fills them with natural light. The rehabilitation of the apartment, now her home, was held by Iberhome, company owned by her husband. Together, Carla and José, created a fresh, balanced, timeless, cosmopolitan place, both minimalist and sophisticated.
