A PLACE LIKE HOME
“Be happy at the place we work”. This has been one of the most acclaimed statements of recent times. There are numerous aspects that make a place an ideal workspace. It could be the size, light, location or a place’s particular history, everyone has different needs, but there is one thing that everyone wishes: to be happy.
Inês Telles is a young designer of Portuguese jewelry who finds in her workplace one of the greatest sources of inspiration. She recently moved to a new studio in Lisbon, near Tapada das Necessidades, to a place where one of the city’s most beautiful secrets is hidden, “one of the most beautiful and unknown viewpoints of Lisbon, with a light and incredible view over Rio Tejo”, she tells us. Situated in a historic building in one of the most central areas of the Portuguese capital, the brand’s studio Inês Telles Jewelry is “a warm and intimate space”, filled of light and plants, a place we can find the author’s main references. “The studio is where I spend most of my time and where I gather collections of things I find, such as still-lifes, photographs, drawings, etc. This is where I make my decoration compositions of memory objects. This studio is where I preserve and find my most important references, which I explore with each new collection I create. Therefore, I usually say that my space is an extension of my work and the universe of Inês Telles brand”.
