MUSEUM OF ART, ARCHITECTURE AND TECHNOLOGY
Built on the banks of the Tejo River, in Belém, the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology - MAAT - opens to the public tomorrow, October 5, with a 12-hour programme that will include educational events, performances and music happenings. Designed by the architect Amanda Levete, the new building, which should be completed in March, stands next to the Tejo Power Station, an example of Portuguese industrial architecture from the first half of the 20th century. An innovative project that brings together three different areas, the MAAT aims to bring to the Portuguese capital national and international exhibitions with the contributions from contemporary artists, architects and thinkers.
