Martinhal Sagres

It`s not often that a place touched by nature is shaped by human hand and remains, in essence, faithful to its origin. Such places are rare, but they do exist. No one would have said we were in the depths of autumn. At Martinhal Sagres, it doesn`t smell of cold. It smells of sun, of sea – and the rain that followed us on our drive, from the moment we left the Tunes train station behind, shied away as soon as we entered what is considered the best family-oriented luxury resort in Europe, our refuge for the weekend. We could have chosen countless reasons for our visit to Martinhal, but this time one stood out as irresistible. A perfect triangle came into alignment for another edition of the Luxury Art & Design Weekend, an initiative whose concept originated in the creative agency responsible for the resort`s communication – o-apartamento – and which Martinhal has been carrying out for six consecutive years. Over the course of three days, from the 3rd to the 5th of November, the programme promised the discovery of luxury projects, brands, artists and artisans, but most importantly, the closeness of sharing.
