AN OFFICE WHERE THER IS ALWAYS EYE CONTACT
The Protel building in Istanbul was built in order to bring together the different units of a company, enabling the visual interaction between all employees. HS Mimarlik’s architects gave priority to the connections between the floors. The result was an open office space with different levels connected to each other, which enhanced the visual interaction. This arrangement allows all employees to interact without any spatial interruption. The geometry of the building is determined by a white box and a dark band that surrounds it. This band comprises perforated aluminum panels that rotate at different angles and provide natural light and a filtered connection with the outside. The result is a magnificent building in total harmony with its surrounding.
