The Radisson Blu Hotel Marrakech officially opened its doors and the Atelier Pod was chosen to design the rooms of the new building of the Carlson Rezidor hotel chain. The hotel is located in Gueliz and is part of a large property, including apartments and a shopping center called Carre Eden. The main challenge of this project was to create a contemporary and innovative aesthetics, without losing the essence of the red city. The design team has managed, through a personalized approach, extend the urban dynamics of the city to the rooms and provide a relaxing and atypical atmosphere. The highlight of the design of this project is the use of the moucharabieh screen - a typical object of Arab culture - that creates an elegant separation between the bedroom and the bathroom. The Deluxe room has a different orientation than the standard room and is considerably higher, which allows a position of the bed facing the view, as well as the bathroom, enjoying natural light throughout the day.
The Radisson Marrakech is the perfect harmony between the interpretation of Moroccan heritage and the contemporary understanding of the country`s culture.
