A PARADISE ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA
Barry Dierks, the American architect of the Modernist Movement, built numerous villas from 1925 to 1950 on the French Riviera. His architecture remains to this day one of the hallmarks of the Mediterranean coast. Villa Le Trident was built in 1926 and it’s impressive not only for its splendid location but also for its history. Barry Dierks designed this house for himself and his partner, and he lived there with him until his death.
After the Villa Le Trident was sold in 2011, 4a Architekten received the proposal to completely renovate the building. The architects concerned on preserving the legacy of Dierks while providing a modern ambience to the house. They kept thewhite cubic architecture but developed it further in a contemporary manner. The result is a villa with stunning areas, full of light and elegance.
