After winning an international competition in 2013, architects of smartvoll studio designed the loft Panzerhalle - 350 square meters of modern and catchy design that preserves the classic idea of this type of spaces. Located in Salzburg, Austria, the loft is composed of two floors, connected by a sculptural staircase that offers a brutal spatial experience. The stairs, "an architecture within the architecture," divides the room, connecting the spaces and creates a roof over the kitchen - the lower level`s epicenter, composed of a seven-meter-long brown block. Smoothed and waxed concrete, is the favorite material throughout the structure.
